Key and BoA talk about their strict diets during trainee days

On a recent episode of JTBC’s “Take Care of My Refrigerator”, BoA and SHINee’s Key basked in the memories of their foregone trainee days.

Both singers lightheartedly expressed discontent over their past stringent diet restrictions which prohibited the two from eating any food that they so desired.

When MC Kim Sung Joo asked Key whether there were any instances during his trainee days that made him dejected because he wasn’t allowed to eat certain foods, Key answered, “My body is actually not naturally slim. I’m the type to immediately gain weight. So the company allowed members who are naturally slim like Taemin and Jonghyun to eat whatever they want. While they would order things like Chicken Katsu and Tonkatsu, Onew and I ate things like fish cakes and dwenjang jiigae [soybean stew]. I really really wanted to eat that Chicken Katsu and Tonkatsu.”

BoA related all too well to Key’s story and told everyone on the show about a past company outing for trainees where only she wasn’t allowed to eat. She told the MC panel, “All the trainees were taken out to a restaurant to be treated one time and while all the other trainees like Jang Na Ra and Fly to the Sky were ordering stuff like rib eye and fried rice, I was told ‘Don’t eat.’ At a young age, I was hurt by such a comment.”

Fortunately, the singer’s sad story had a happy ending as she told everyone, “After debut, when I was making a lot of money with “No. 1″, I went back to the restaurant and ate four plates of food all by myself,” making the studio ring with laughter at her cute rebellious act.

“Odd” repackage–“Married To The Music” is set to release August 3rd!

I’m not sure how this is going to go, though. I already had to deal with a creepy clown for “Odd” and now I have to deal with more creepiness >.< Key looks like an evil scientist xD

I hope I like it! Nonetheless, I’m looking forward to it! 😀

Like all repackages, you get all the songs you got on the album it’s repackaging and then brand new songs.

The new songs are a total of four: “Married To The Music”, “Savior”, “Hold You”, and “Chocolate”.

Why Key can’t throw away a dish in his fridge…

SHINee‘s Key revealed the reason why he can’t throw away some of the food in his fridge on JTBC‘s “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator.”

On the July 27 episode of the hit cooking show, BoA and Key appear as guests. During the show, the MCs are going through Key’s fridge when they ask, “Does your mother send you side dishes?”

To the question, Key answers, “Before my grandmother passed away, she used to prepare a lot of side dishes for me.”

Later, Jung Hyung Don, one of the MCs, picks up a container of dried anchovies, and says, “This seems a bit old.” Key reveals the heartbreaking reason why he hasn’t thrown it away, “That is a dish that I can’t throw away because of thoughts of my grandmother.”
